A Restoration is when the original coil of a vintage pickup is carefully unwound to reveal the damage. The pickup coil is then repaired and rewound with its original wire keeping the pickup all original.

REWINDS
A Rewind is when the original coil is too damaged to repair or restore.
The coil is removed, the pickup bobbin is cleaned and rewound with new period correct wire to original vintage spec.
